Flight controllers, ESCs and receivers

The flight controller (FC) reads the gyro and your radio and tells the ESCs how fast to spin each motor. Most FCs here run Betaflight, and many also run INAV or ArduPilot. An ESC (electronic speed controller) drives the motors. A stack pairs an FC with a 4-in-1 ESC on a matching mounting pattern, 20x20 or 30x30 mm, which keeps wiring short and clean.

Receivers bring your radio link in. ExpressLRS (ELRS) is the popular open link for long range and low latency, in 2.4 GHz and sub-GHz (868/915 MHz) versions, and TBS Crossfire is the other common option. Check that the receiver protocol matches your radio before you order.
