LiPo or Li-ion?

LiPo packs deliver the high current that punchy freestyle and racing flight needs. Li-ion packs, usually built from 18650 or 21700 cells, store more energy for their weight but give less peak current, which is why they are the usual choice for long-range cruising. Cell count sets the voltage: 4S, 6S and 12S are the common sizes.

Check the connector (XT60 or XT90), the capacity and the discharge rating against what your motors and ESC can draw. Lithium batteries ship by ground courier only.
