Buying guide: GPS & Compass
A GPS module gives the flight controller the position it needs for return-to-home, position hold and waypoint flight. Compare the GNSS chip, the update rate, whether the module carries a magnetometer (compass) or a barometer, the supply voltage, and the wiring: UART for the GPS itself and I2C for the compass. Mount it with the antenna facing up, away from the video transmitter, and clear of carbon fiber, which blocks the signal.
